The bank surveyed 2,155 expats between late February and April 2008, and rated the countries with 30 or more responses, based on four criteria: popularity, based on the time spent in the country; the extent to which quality of life improved after leaving home; their ability to earn and save more; and an increase in the quality of their accommodations.
